Cookie Policy
This page explains the cookies and similar browser storage used by the TIDE website (tideos.co.uk) and the TIDE diagnostic (diagnostic.tideos.co.uk), and why. The website itself sets none for people visiting it. On the diagnostic we keep it to the minimum the diagnostic needs to work. We don't use analytics or tracking on either. For how we handle your personal data more generally, see our Privacy Policy.

Who we are
Itarck Ltd trading as TIDE operates the TIDE service. Itarck Ltd is the data controller for any personal data processed via cookies / similar storage on TIDE. Itarck Ltd is a company registered in England & Wales (company number 12930155); our full registration and registered-office details are set out in section 1 of the Privacy Policy.
What we use
On the website (tideos.co.uk)
The website itself sets no cookies or browser storage for people visiting it.
People who sign in to edit the website's content get the cookies and browser storage the editing tools need, including those that keep them signed in and let them preview a page before it is published. Visitors never get these.
On the diagnostic (diagnostic.tideos.co.uk)
While you take a diagnostic, your browser keeps the details the diagnostic needs in temporary storage, including your access code and email, your organisation and programme details, and a link back to your session. This means you don't have to re-enter anything as you move through the steps, and refreshing the page takes you back to where you were. It also remembers whether you have already sent an access request. All of this is cleared when you close the browser tab.
We also remember, in your browser, that you have dismissed the short notice about this page, so it doesn't keep reappearing. That stays until you clear your browser's data for diagnostic.tideos.co.uk.
TIDE administrators and advisers who sign in to the operator portal get cookies that keep them signed in and sign them out after a period of inactivity. People taking a diagnostic or browsing the website never get these.
On both
Our hosting provider may set a short-lived cookie if it needs to run a security check on a visit it suspects is automated. A normal visit doesn't get one.
Most of the storage described on this page is strictly necessary to provide the service you have asked for.
Analytics, marketing and advertising
We don't use analytics, marketing or advertising cookies, pixels or tracking scripts, on the website or the diagnostic.
Why there is no cookie banner
Cookie banners exist to ask for consent before cookies or tracking that need it are used. We don't use advertising, tracking or analytics, so we don't show one. On your first visit to the diagnostic you may see a short notice pointing to our Cookie Policy; it doesn't set any tracking of its own. If we ever add anything that needs your consent, we'll ask before it is used and update this page first.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies and clear site data in your browser's settings. If you block the storage the diagnostic needs, the diagnostic may stop working. Clearing the data for diagnostic.tideos.co.uk also brings back the notice about this page.
Updates to this policy
We'll update this page if the cookies or browser storage we use change, and if anything new needs your consent, we'll ask before it is used. The "Last updated" date at the top moves when we do.
The current version is dated 5 November 2026. Previous versions of this page are kept and available on request.
